VICTORIA, BC – Cascadia Liquor is proud to announce to the local community that its inaugural Charity Golf Tournament raised $30,000 for Rainbow Kitchen, bringing together local businesses, industry partners and community supporters for an afternoon of golf and giving back.
Held August 27 at Cedar Hill Golf Course in Victoria, the sold-out Texas Scramble style tournament featured on-course tastings and activations, a $10,000 hole-in-one contest sponsored by Acera Insurance, reception, dinner, and both silent and live auctions.
A highlight of the evening was the tournament’s live auction item, generously donated by WestJet: two round-trip tickets to any destination WestJet flies, valued at $5,000. The package helped drive the tournament’s fundraising total.
The event culminated in a final $30,000 donation to Rainbow Kitchen to support its work addressing food insecurity in Greater Victoria.
“Raising $30,000 in our very first year exceeded what we hoped to accomplish and speaks to the incredible generosity of everyone who came together to support this event,” said Janeil Mackay, President of The Truffles Group, who owns Cascadia Liquor. “We wanted to create an event that brought our partners and community together for a great day, while ultimately making a meaningful difference here at home. Rainbow Kitchen does incredibly important work in our community, and we are grateful to every golfer, sponsor, supplier, donor and volunteer who helped make this possible.”

Rainbow Kitchen is a community-driven, volunteer-based organization that provides nutritious meals, food support and access to resources for individuals and families in need. The organization serves approximately 220,000 meals each year while creating a welcoming space where community members can connect and access support.
The inaugural tournament was made possible through the support of businesses and organizations from across Vancouver Island and the beverage industry.
Deserving of recognition are WestJet for its generous live auction donation, reception sponsor Mark Anthony, media sponsor Chek News and print sponsor Blast Media, along with hole sponsors Acera Insurance and Navacord, The Parkside Hotel & Spa, Uptown, Greater Victoria Sport Tourism Commission, Royal Bank of Canada, the Victoria Royals, Suntory -196 Vodka Soda, Phillips Brewing, UKI Float Mixers, Driftwood Brewery, ABSOLUT, Michelob ULTRA, and Peroni Nastro Azzurro.
